Aaron Rodgers Returns for Jets' Home Game Against Patriots
Aaron Rodgers is eager to take the field at MetLife Stadium for the New York Jets' home opener against the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football
It will be Rodgers' first game at MetLife since suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1 last year.
Despite the short week, Rodgers feels good physically and is excited to play in front of the home crowd under the lights. "It's been a long time since I took the field at MetLife, so we had a lot of emotions for sure.
But we're thankfully already into the third game of the season. Played two full games, body feels good, as good as it can on a short week, but, yeah, it'll be fun to be out there with the crowd and night games
The Jets have scored three offensive touchdowns in each of their first two games, something they hadn't accomplished in the opening two weeks since 2004.
However, Rodgers and the offense believe they are still "a tick off" from reaching their full potential.
"How close we are is great for the coaches because they can coach up the whole thing, but it'd be foolish to keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results," Rodgers said
