New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers’ Decline Called Out by NFL Executive

An NFL executive has recently called out Aaron Rodgers, suggesting that the New York Jets quarterback may be in decline.

The anonymous scout indicated that there is a reluctance within the football community to openly acknowledge this decline, stating, "I think everyone is afraid to say he’s declined a little.

While the scout recognizes Rodgers' skills as a thrower and his ability to read the game, they ranked him between eighth and twelfth among NFL quarterbacks, contrasting with his fourth-place ranking in a recent ESPN poll of peers.

Concerns about Rodgers' performance stem from his recovery from a torn Achilles and how it might affect his mental approach to the game.

The former executive noted that even if Rodgers is physically fit, he may be hesitant to hold onto the ball to avoid contact, which could lead defenders to anticipate shorter routes and limit offensive effectiveness.

This situation is compounded by the Jets' offensive line struggles, which have been a significant factor in both his injury and overall performance.

Despite these critiques, some coaches and executives still view Rodgers as a formidable opponent. An NFC North coach expressed relief at having him out of the division, indicating that he remains a quarterback teams do not want to face.
