The 5-Minute Cabbage Recipe I Make At Least Once a Week

If you're looking for a quick, easy, and delicious way to prepare cabbage, this sautéed cabbage recipe is perfect. It takes just 5 minutes to make and is a staple in my weekly meal rotation. Here's how to do it:

Ingredients – 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter – 1 small head green cabbage, thinly sliced (about 6 cups) – 1 clove garlic, minced – Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions Heat the olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced cabbage and garlic. Sauté for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the cabbage is tender and starting to brown in spots.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately while hot.

That's it! In just 5 minutes, you have a flavorful, nutrient-dense side dish that pairs perfectly with chicken, pork, beef, or fish.

I like to slice the cabbage very thinly, almost shredding it, so it cooks quickly. You can use a sharp knife or mandoline slicer for this.
